Analog Computers

                An analog computer is the that measures continuous physical values such       temperature, pressue,voltage,speed etc. Analog computers assign numeric values by physically measuring some actual property such as length of an object,amount of voltage passing through a point in electric circuit etc.Analog computers device all their data from of measurement. These computers typically use the analog signals for operation of calculation some of the popular analog computers are:-

·         Seismograph used in geology department

·         Speedometer used in cars and motocycles for calculating their speed

·         Mental disease diagnostics devices

 The computers that use analog signals for processing are analog computers.

Digital Computer:-

                A digital computer accepts and processes discontinuous(discrete) data such as numbers, letters or other symbols.It does not measure physical values such as distance,pressure etc.Digital computers are mostly used in the preparation of reports,tabulation and graphical representations.It is mostly used in mathematics,engineering and statistics.Digital computer are the most widely used computer all over the world.These computers use the digital signal for operation.Any computer .Any computer that uses digital singles for its operation are called digital computer.

Hybird Computer:-

               

    

               The hybrid omputer can do the task  of digital as well as analog computer.It used both analog and discrete data representation.Hybird computers can transfer data from analog to digital and vice versa.It is commonly used in hospital to measure heart function,temprerature and vital signs of the patient .It is also used in big industries,scientific research,aeroplanes etc.Some of the popular hybrid computer are:Flight Managemant have eminent capacity to work with digital as well as analog signals .It internally user the signals converts and hance can convert te signals for digital to analog and vive-versa.

                       The computer which can work both on digital and analog signals and have the capacity of signal – type conversion are hybrid computer.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANALOG AND DIGITAL COMPUTER
