TEACHING TERMS AND MEANINGS

ALU                            :                       Part of control processing unit(CPU) which
                                                            Performs arithmetic and logical operations.

CU                              :                       Part of CPU that directs the flow of data in the
                                                            computer
Soft copy output         :                       Computer output that can not be touched but can be
                                                            Seen and read
Hard copy output        :                       Computer output that comes in a paper form.
Secondary Storage      :                       Storage that is not directly attached to the
Mainboard or motherboard .They store data per-
                                                            Manently
Primary Storage          :                       Storage which stores the data temperately e.g. RAM

POINTS TO REMEMBER:-

1.    A computer system is a combination of number of physical parts which are arrange such a way that they achieve a common objective.
2.    Computer system is a combination of input unit, processing unit, output unit and storage unit.
3.    Input unit reads the data and instruction from the user, converts them into computer understandable from and transmit it to the processing unit of the computer
4.    Processing unit consists of three sub units : Arithmetic and logic unit, conrol unit and primary memory.
5.    Arithmatic and logic unit(ALU)performs all the arithmetic and logical operations in  computer
6.    Control Unit(CU) executes the computer instructions.
7.    Primary memory holds the currently running programs, instructions and data
8.    The output unit intakes the information from the processing unit and persent it to the user in human readable from.
9.    Storage unit permanently stores the data and instruction so that they are easily accessible in future.
